How we test software
SoloToolhub evaluates software for freelancers and small teams. Each comparison includes use cases, strengths and weaknesses, UI previews and practice scenarios — not bare feature lists.
Scores are editorial and tied to fixed solo criteria — no lab benchmarks, no paid rankings.
Per tool we document scenario, outcome and limits. Prices and core features are periodically checked against vendor sites and marked with date and source.
SoloToolhub criteria (what we optimize)
- Fit for solo freelancers — not primarily large teams
- Fair entry price / usable free tier
- DACH practice (DE/AT/CH): support, accountants, privacy where relevant
- Quick setup — time to a usable workflow
Each comparison also answers: solo vs team, DACH simplicity, saving time/money, what’s overkill — plus a clear recommendation with reasoning.
