2. General processing

We process personal data only as needed to operate the site, communicate, or based on consent / another GDPR legal basis.

3. Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted and delivered via Vercel Inc. (USA) or affiliates. Server logs may include IP address, time, URL, user agent, referrer. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in secure operation).

Transfers to the USA may rely on SCCs and provider safeguards. See Vercel’s privacy documentation. Log retention follows hoster settings and security needs (usually short-term).

4. Server log files

Logs are used for security, debugging and abuse prevention. We do not combine them with other sources for profiling.

5. Cookies, local storage, theme

We do not use advertising network cookies and do not use Google Analytics. Dark/light theme may use browser localStorage (essential for display, no ad ID). Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) / essential storage where applicable.

5a. Audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)

We use Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., USA, as part of hosting) for usage metrics (e.g. page views, URLs, coarse referrers, device type). According to Vercel, no classic advertising cookies and no advertising profiles are created; metrics support operations and improvement. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f). Data may be processed in the USA under Vercel’s privacy/DPA terms (including SCCs where applicable).

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar marketing tracking. If that changes, we will obtain consent first (cookie banner) and update this policy.

6. Newsletter (double opt-in)

If you subscribe to the newsletter/checklist, we process your email to send the requested content. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) (consent). Subscription uses double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are added only after clicking the link (when email delivery is configured).

Delivery may use an ESP (e.g. Resend and/or Buttondown). Third-country transfers may apply under the provider’s DPA/SCCs. Unsubscribe anytime via email link or by contacting the controller. Storage until withdrawal or as long as needed; confirmation tokens expire.

7. YouTube / Google (UI videos)

We use YouTube videos for product UI. Videos load only after you click play (youtube-nocookie.com). Before that, only thumbnails from i.ytimg.com are loaded. The player notes that play loads YouTube.

After click, Google may process data (IP, device/browser, cookies) and transfer to the USA. Legal basis: consent by play (Art. 6(1)(a)). Without a click, no YouTube player is embedded. See Google/YouTube privacy notices. Alternative: do not play and use the vendor link.

8. External vendor links

Vendor links lead to third-party sites with their own policies. For affiliate links see affiliate disclosure.

9. No user accounts

SoloToolhub currently does not offer registration-based user accounts.

10. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the stated purposes or legal retention duties, then delete or anonymize.

11. Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interests, where applicable. You may withdraw consent for the future.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).

12. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures. Absolute security of internet transmission cannot be guaranteed.

13. Changes

We update this policy when law, services or our offering change. The published version applies.
